Lawrence “Larry” Spencer of Columbia, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2016. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Ruby Spencer of Akron, Ohio. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Spencer; their four children; Leon Spencer, Ron Spencer, Steven Spencer, and Lisa Whitten; three daughters-in-law; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Larry served in the Air Force and the Navy reserves. He worked as an aircraft mechanic and retired from Gulfstream Aerospace. He was also a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Columbia, TN. Family and friends will gather at Grace Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 for visitation from four to six o’clock in the evening with funeral service to follow at six o’clock. Interment to take place on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Middle Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery in Nashville. His family loved him dearly and will miss him always.
