Beloved Oldest son of Lee Thomas Miller and Jana Miller (Brentwood, TN) Levi left this world far too soon in the early morning hours of June 21,2025. He was only 25 years old. A native Nashvillian and 2018 graduate of Renaissance High School (Franklin, TN), Levi leaves behind grieving parents, Lee Thomas and Jana, brother Noah, and sisters, Emma and Jacy Miller, along with grandparents, Jimmy and Carolyn Davis, Aunts Cindy (James) Rhorer, Julie (Kenny) Stacy and Uncle Jeff (Shane) Davis, and birthmother, Jennifer Gingerich, and a host of devastated friends, family members, current and past bandmates and admirers. Levi was preceded in death and now is healed in Heaven with his paternal grandparents, Robert and Jean Miller. We will remember him as the little boy with perfect eyelashes that followed him into adulthood, along with his fascination of jellyfish and the ocean where he would stand and talk to God and ask questions like how many stars are there...SOMEONE KNOWS. His affection for the ocean was reflected in his writings and art...he often called himself The Captain. He also adored his dog, Louie. He was mensa level brilliant and proved it with the impossible games he would make up and torture his siblings with on family road trips and at the dinner table. As a youth he quickly became an accomplished guitarist and fine-tuned his musical taste when he discovered his "favorite band" Titus Andronicus and was over his lifetime able to develop a lasting and real relationship with his mentor and founding band member Patrick Stickles, running their fan page and also performing with the band in Nashville. Levi fronted his own band Levi J Miller band and became well known and respected in the Nashville music scene. He only performed original works and thru his music he was able to express his deep pain and complex thoughts. He became famous for throwing unsanctioned house concerts in his parents basement that have become the stuff of legends (DM for address). Along with guitar he was an accomplished bassist, drummer, singer, songwriter and recording engineer. He wrote, played, sang and recorded dozens of albums. His music now lives on and can be found on Bandcamp and Soundcloud. (Levi J. Miller). An avid reader his entire life, he also wrote long and short stories and poetry, drew and painted, sketched and desperately sought answers for problems no one could remedy or often comprehend. He was a true artist whose short life is equal parts tragedy, wonder, frustration and beauty. Levi was a sensitive soul who cared deeply about other's pain and was troubled by the notion that someone living on the street may be invisible to the world in a way he sometimes felt invisible. It was a normal thing for him to talk to people others don't notice on his daily long walks or carry groceries for elderly neighbors. He was not impressed with wealth or fame, only sincerity and originality. Choosing to live a simple and yet complex life he was a true minimalist, always seeing life and the world in a bigger picture frame. He fascinated and exhausted us all at the same time. He was brilliantly, beautifully complicated. He leaves us all heartbroken, but knowing we are richer and tattered and tested and enlightened because he forced us to look into the gray and uncharted. Though there is little we understand now without him in our earthly world, we can carry on knowing these truths. All of the questions he had are now answered. Levi Knows God. God knows Levi.
