
PAGE, Lillie Clair Hayes McAlpin- age 88, of Nashville, TN, Aug. 21, 2010, retired from Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. Lillie was the daughter of the late Oliver Hayes and Cora Travis Hayes. She was a member of Who's Who in Democratic Women of America. She was a great-niece of the late Adelicia Hayes Acklen of Belmont. She was recently awarded membership in Who's Who in Nursing Homes in America for her contributions to the songwriting industry. Lillie was wife of the late Charles E. Page, and is survived by daughters, Tavara McGuire Peets, Linda Wood Finley, and Vicky McAlpin Harris; grandchildren, Dee McGuire, Dean McGuire, Jason Wood, Brian Wood, Whitney Wood, and Lindsey Harris; and great-grandchildren, Vincent McGuire, Duncan McGuire, Gretchen Kuhn, Kenny Kuhn, and Chris Kuhn; niece, Mary Anne Walls; and nephews, Claude Hayes, Jr., and Jim Hayes. Lillie was preceded in death by grandson, David McGuire; sister, Myrtle Wienke, brother, Claude Hayes; aunts, Lillie Travis and Annie Hayes; nephew; William Wienke. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Rev. Jacob Armstrong officiating. Pallbearers include: Lawson Peets, Boyd Finley, Jason Wood, Brian Wood, Dean McGuire, Ray Glenn Bates, and Phillip Bacigalupo. Honorary pallbearer will be Dean Tubb. Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Page from 3 o’clock until 7 o’clock the evening of Tuesday, August 24, 2010 and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Woodlawn (615)383-4754.
