BRANSCUM, Lorean age 94, passed away on January 27, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, William W. and Ruby Railey Branscum and sister, Thelma Branscum. Lorean was born in Arlburg, AR on July 4, 1917 and moved to Nashville at an early age where she resided for the rest of her life. She graduated from Hume Fogg High School and Falls Business College and attended design school in New York and Dallas. She worked for Emma’s Flowers & Gifts for 45 years as a designer and buyer. She is survived by sister, Jewel Branscum Collier; two nephews, William W. (Mary) Collier of Alpharetta, GA and Paul Collier of Franklin, TN; five great nieces, Laura, Elyse and Allyson Collier, Kathryn Brodkin and Jamie Ernst. She is also survived by three great, great nieces and one great, great nephew and special friends, Alice Goodman and Alice Freeman. She attended Bellevue Baptist Church and was a long time member of the Pilot Club. The family is grateful for the care provided by the staff at NHC Place Cool Springs. Visitation will be Sunday, January 29th from two to four p.m. at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with a graveside service at ten a.m. Monday, January 30st at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Dr. Mike Shelton officiating.
