I first met Lynn when he hired in at Cumberland Trane back in 1970-80's as a Service Tech,  Lynn  was one of the many best  friends and professionals  that I ever met in the HVACR business over the years,
God rest his soul and I'm looking forward to meeting him in Heaven.

Lynn had an immeasurable impact on our community. He personified true friendship - always willing to help a friend or neighbor in need and, more often than not, even without being asked. Upon reading these condolences, it was immediately clear that Lynn was the epitome of a giver as so many others have noted. He did what he could out of the goodness of his heart and without the expectation of reciprocation. If it is the goal in life to leave the world a better place for having lived, Lynn can rest easy knowing that he most definitely did so; his legacy of kindness and generosity will continue through the many lives he touched . He will be greatly missed.

Lynn and Ronnie were friends for many years.  Our families  have been friends for several years. Our children grew up knowing Lynn and Doris and our oldest worked for Lynn at one time at AC Service.  I have such fond memories of all the gatherings  we attended at your place. He will be missed and I’m sure him, Ronnie and Butch will be up there hunting together . I am so sorry to know of Lynn's passing Iam so sorry I did not know he was at a point of passing.  Lynn was a good friend to me for many years. I loved talking to Lynn about the old cars and project with the old Packard   and I am very sad I cannot be there for the Funeral Service.

My name is Alice Green Conner.  I grew up in Donelson and went to First Baptist.  I remember Eddie better than Lynn because Lynn was 7 years younger, but my family loved the Cawthorne family!   My mother, Sibyl Green, was close to Irene, whom I knew as Mrs. Cawthorne!  Mrs. Cawthorne was either my GA leader or a Sunday School teacher or both!!  Please accept my condolence to the whole family in your loss.

I knew Lynn well from the real estate business and  and from service with him on the  Metro Board of Equalization. I did not realize until I saw the obituary that were were the same age.  He was a good businessman and a good person. He will be missed by many, Bob Notestine

Lynn was  one of a kind.  A great friend that would do anything for you at any time.  If you got in the ditch, he would be the first there to pull you out.  He was also a great problem solver.

Lynn was a great mentor and friend to me.  If I needed something, he was there to help or point me in the right direction.  I never needed an appointment, I could drop by and he would spend as much time as he had.  I always looked up to Lynn.  Lynn's advice was as close to the gospel as you could get.  I will always remember Lynn and will continue to use Lynn and Doris as an example to teach my kids how to navigate life.  The world lost a great man.

Lynn was a wonderful man.  I almost called him early last week but didn't want to bother him with a question.  He would have been more than happy (as always) to answer a question.  I met him when he was soon to become the head of REIN and was on the board with him for several years.  He was smart, kind, respectful, thoughtful, thorough, logical, and probably 20 other (superlative) adjectives I am not listing.  I wish I had called.   

LYNN  was the best neighbor and friend a person could ever have  if you have a friend like LYNN you are truly  blessed.  Lots of great hunting and fishing memories  I will miss you .

Lynn Cawthorne was a true neighbor and was constantly giving of himself through his time and he was indeed a patient and understanding man. He thought the best of others and gave others the benefit of the doubt.

Lynn was a good friend. We did a lot of work together and also hunting in Canada bear and grouse hunting. Will miss him. 

Lynn was a great friend to so many.   He was a brilliant guy who never stopped learning.  He invested in so many lives and was a giver and not a taker.  Lynn was a perfectionist and expected the best out of himself.  He will be greatly missed by so many.  Doris my prayers are with you.   God bless,
