

Marcia Gail Inman, age 85, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 8, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, to loving parents Walter Sanders and Clarice Sanders. Marcia was a woman who radiated warmth, kindness, and creativity throughout her life.
Marcia was married to Jack Linville for 23 years. Later to Jesse Inman, with whom she shared 32 wonderful years before his passing. Her legacy of love, devotion, and grace continues to live on through her children, Mark Andrew Linville(Pam Pitts daughter in-law) and Patrick Sanders Linville; her beloved grandchildren, Austin, Dalton, Kyle Pitts(Paw, wife), and Keeley Pitts; and her great-grandchildren, Jackie and Terry, affectionately known as the "little people."
Marcia dedicated much of her life to others, working for Suntrust Bank and being an active member of the American Women's Business Association and the Food Bank in Smyrna. Her passions were varied and deeply enriching — from gardening and cooking to traveling, sewing, and engaging in arts and crafts. Her home was always filled with vibrant flowers, delicious meals, and the warmth of her creative spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Linville and Jesse Inman; brothers Charles Michael Sanders and Walter Eugene Sanders; parents Walter Sanders and Clarice Sanders.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Owen France Sanders (wife Betty Jo), Betty Sue Cornish, and Elizabeth Ann Waggoner. Marcia is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A gathering of family and friends for Marcia will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Marcia’s love for her family and her unwavering generosity will forever be remembered.
