

Margaret Winkler, age 97, of Nashville, TN, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 24th, 2024. She was born on April 14th, 1927, to the late Walter Troxel and Lois Horton. Margaret lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love, leaving a legacy of grace and kindness for all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Winkler, her parents, her stepfather Charles Horton, and her sister Mary Francis Terry (Dan). Margaret is survived by her sister Marion Birdwell (Eddie) and her loving son Marshall Winkler, along with his wife, Karen Winkler.
Margaret treasured her family, finding great joy in the lives of her grandchildren: Rickie Winkler, Tiffanie Creamer (Kyle), and Taylor Brewer (Shelton). She also delighted in her step-grandchildren: Jessica Bell (Justin) and Lauren Lloyd (Vince).
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Hadley Brewer, Noah Creamer, and Harper Brewer, as well as her step-great-grandchildren: Mason Creamer, Camden Creamer, Stella Creamer, Caanan Bell, Kellan Bell, and Cheyenne Bell.
Margaret was a faithful servant of Christ, dedicating her life to spreading love and kindness to those around her, and she was a long-time member of Charlotte Avenue Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who found immense joy in her family and her faith. Her warm smile, unwavering love, and steadfast prayers will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.
A graveside service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to gather in fellowship to honor her remarkable life and to rejoice in the hope of eternal life through Christ.
