COPELAND, Marie Esther Ledbetter- Age 89, of Nashville, TN passed away at home with family on Friday, September 10, 2010. A long-time resident of the Woodbine area, Ms. Copeland was employed by the United Methodist Publishing House for many years and the historic Lowe’s Theatre. Surviving are her daughter, Glenda Faye Copeland; son, Terry (Glenda) Copeland; granddaughter, Audrey Copeland; grandson, Scott Copeland and great-granddaughter, Shelby Grace; her much loved caregivers Mariella Alfaro, Maggie Smith, Jan Norby and her devoted best friend, Buffy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Copeland; parents, Cassie and Charles Ledbetter and granddaughter, Laura Elizabeth Copeland. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Rev. Gene Lovelace officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ms. Copeland’s memory to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St, Nashville, TN 37203.
