Marilyn Miles McMillan

Marilyn Miles McMillan, age 90, passed away August 12, 2016, Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 1, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Beroth F. Miles and Thelma (Smathers) Miles. She graduated from Purdue University. She was the wife of the late Donald H. McMillan. At Purdue she was a proud member of Chi Omega Sorority, and maintained strong friendships throughout her life. Marilyn was an avid bridge player who enjoyed playing with her friends and maintained her hobby until the time of her passing. A retired Kindergarten teacher, she was a strong believer in education and loved keeping up with the academic progress of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Ellen McMillan, daughter Judith (Glenn) Mans of Gainesville, FL, daughter Janet (James) Bramell, son Douglas (Denise) McMillan, grandson Jeff (Lori) Mans of Jacksonville, FL, grandson Robert (Keri) Mans of Savannah, GA, grandson Campbell M. McMillan, grandson Matthew S. McMillan, great grandchildren Cooper, Jake and Summer Mans of Jacksonville, FL, great grandchildren Emerald and Harper Mans of Savannah, GA. She is survived by her sister Ruth (the late William) Schulenberg of Nokomls, FL, Visitation will be held Sunday August 14th 2016 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home from Four O’clock in the afternoon until Seven O’clock in the evening. Graveside service at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Monday August 15th at Ten O’clock in the morning.
