When I was little, I remember spending time with Marlene as she would wash her Red Mustang. I also remember her always picking me up and showing me the baby birds in the tree in her front flower bed. Rocky & Buddy always come to mind when I think of her and Bob. Marlene was a lovely lady and I will always fondly remember her.

Marleen was the sweetest lady ever and a real friend.  I will,miss her till we meet again.

So sorry for your loss. Jack told me her service was today but it was after the fact. I would have loved to come and show my respects.  All the messages I have read tell of her smile, happy spirit and that was my first thought too:  beautiful smile always.  Again so sorry and thinking of you.

We so enjoyed spending last Friday evening with Marlene & Robert at our 55th Roy Miller High School class reunion in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Marlene & I had been friends since the 4th grade, through Girl Scouts and the band.  We had so many fun memories.  Who could have known that it was the last time we would ever see her again.  We send our deepest sympathies and prayers to her family.  She will always be remembered with love.

I will always remember the joy that our sweet neighbor had - regardless of what her health circumstances were. Her entire face lit up with the joy that she spread to every person she encountered. What a gift to know her. I know her faith was deep and I am reminded now of Nehemiah 8:10(b) - “This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”  This describes Marleen so well. 

Marleen was always cheerful. She would talk to me after church services over a treat she made and brought in for everyone. I remember some good conversations with her and other friends over a cookie or slice of cake. She made my birthday cake last year that I shared with people at work. It was so delicious that I had a slice every day with lunch. She will be missed.

Tommy and I had the privilege of working with both Bob and Marleen at Nashville Bridge Company.  There was never a time that her smile didn’t light up a whole room. She will be missed greatly by us all especially Bob, the boys and the family who she dearly loved

One year ago Marleen prepared a wonderful meal for Angie and Andrew's 39th anniversary.  She was a wonderful cook!  

Marleen has been my best friend for over 40 years.  She's a ray of sunshine and showed kindness every where she went.  We so enjoyed our Nashville, Indiana trips every year together.  She was a very strong and beautiful person, gone too soon.  I love and miss her so.  

Aunt Marlene never missed a holiday , birthday or anniversary . My kids looked forward to her sweet cards and treats and knew her and Uncle Bob through those thoughtful gestures bc we live so far . We didn’t get to see her much but we are so thankful we did recently . What a blessing that is. She is the a great example of Who Jesus wants us to be as we walk here on Earth. She will be so missed by us all but I’m so grateful we will all see her again one day.. many condolences to the the immediate family and prayers for Uncle Bob everyday , may God wrap His arms around you everyday as you go through the healing of losing your beloved..   much love Michael, Keely , Preston & Olivia 

You taught me how to be a better mom,wife,daughter and future Nana and future mother in law just by being you, leading example. You never were just my mother in law, you were my mom, best friend, confident, adviser and I love you more then you'll ever know. Thank you for loving us the way you did.  Every moment with you was special.

Bob I am so sorry to hear about Marleen.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. She was such a nice lady. 

This was the day I was confirmed. My mother is the reason for my faith. Love and miss you Mom.
