Born on April 12, 1938, Marty spent much of her youth in her birth place of Pope, Kentucky.
She attended college at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree.
After successful careers at Lockheed Aircraft and J. C. Penny, Marty settled in Nashville, Tennessee where she lived with her loving husband Richard until his recent passing. Her passion for helping others was evident in her work with the local H&R Block office over the years.
Marty was an avid sports fan and loved the Tennessee Titans. She also loved animals and was known to spoil her happy dogs Sarge, Sugar and Julius. Her kindness and generosity were especially evident each holiday season when she prepared and sent gift packages to service members stationed all over the world.
Marty is survived by her sister (Ann), a niece (Faith), three stepchildren (David, Phyllis, and Ricke), and her loving granddaughter, Valeria.
A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery at 11 a.m, Thursday, October 31. Friends and relatives are welcome.
