She was a devoted wife and loving mother, sports enthusiasts; playing softball for 58 years, in 2008 she became the 1st member to be inducted into the Senior Women’s Amateur Softball Hall of Fame; she received a Basketball Scholarship from Nashville Business College.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years John Arndt; children Amy (Jeff) Guthrie, Neil (Lisa) Anderson, Kerry (Joe) Buhler, Terry (Mark) Hijar and Pam Kohrhamer; grandchildren Trace Anderson, David Buhler, Jenna and Katelyn Hijar; sisters Dot (Jack) Freckman, Janie Hyde; brothers Martin (Faylene) Fisher, Ralph (Lottie) Fisher and Sammie (Judy) Fisher.
Funeral services will be 1:00 Friday April 1, 2011 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Visitation Thursday March 31, 2011 from 2:00 until 8:00 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
A service will be held Saturday April 2, 2011 at 2:00 with visitation from 10:00 at Reed's Chapel 113 Southwest Street in Decaturville. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Decaturville, TN.
