Mary Jane (Gabany) Binkley of Hermitage, TN left this earthly life to enter into the eternal embrace of her Heavenly Home February 11, 2025 at 79 years young. She was born December 11, 1945 in Jenkins, Kentucky and then raised in Switzer, West Virginia (Logan County). She descends from the Hatfield family of the famous feud with the McCoys, and inherited those feisty, strong-willed, opinionated genes!
Preceding in death were Parents Annis (Hatfield) Gabany & Victor Carl Olsyo Gabany Sr., Favorite Uncle Jack Hatfield and Special Cousin Allen Dale Thompson.
Mary Jane leaves behind unique memories to live on in the hearts of family and friends whom she cared so deeply for:
Devoted Husband of 30 years Donald N. Binkley (“Donnie”), Adored & Loyal Big Brother Victor Carl Olsyo Gabany Jr. (“Vic”) & Sister-in-Law Sue Ann (Carnes) Gabany, Favorite Niece Lisa Michelle Gabany Eastland (& Jaime), Great Nephews Hunter Eastland (& Sarah) and Tayler Eastland (& Camryn).
Loving Daughter Tamara Kay Curtis Tuders (& Son-in-Law Tony), Granddaughter Lexi Tuders (& Cody Gupton), Grandson Chase Tuders (& Catherine), Great-Grandchildren Sadie, Jaisie, & Finlee. Son Richard Denton Curtis (“Ritchy”), Grandsons Christian & Caleb Curtis, Stepsons Travis & Allen Binkley.
Mary Jane might have been petite, but had a BIG personality and loved being around people! She met many good friends who became like family at jobs over the years in Nashville after moving to Tennessee. Some of these include: Grand Ole Opry Hostess (working alongside bro Vic), Popeye's at Rivergate owned by cousin Allen & brother Vic (Manager with daughter Tammy), Tennessee Steel Haulers (with niece Lisa), The Nashville Palace, Gabes Lounge, Ringside Pub (Bartender), and TN Fulfillment Distribution Center (Lebanon).
A Celebration of Life will be held in Mary Jane’s honor at her & Donnie’s current favorite hangout, the “V” (V.F.W. Post 1291 – 1907 Lebanon Pike, Nashville TN 37210). Date and time details will follow in an updated post soon. We invite all family & friends who were lucky enough to know her to come by to share your colorful stories about our one-of-a-kind, beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed, spit-fire “MJ”…God never made another quite like her!
