HALE, Mary Catherine Riggan, age 80 of Nashville, passed away on December 18, 2011. A veteran of the U.S. Army during W.W. II, she was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines and was sworn into the US Army Corp of Engineers until her retirement after 25 years. Mrs. Hale was an active member of Crievewood United Methodist Church, Hilltop Sunday School Class, United Women Dorcas Circle and a longtime volunteer for Knowles Senior Center. She also taught knitting and crocheting for ten years. Preceded in death by her Husband, James H. Hale, mother & father, William Tarver Riggan and Mary Louise Riggan; twin-brother, William Tarver Riggan, Jr. Survived by her daughter, Donna Lorraine Hale; granddaughter, Mary Catherine Hale; great Grandsons, Jacob Williams, Devin Williams, Nathen Williams; one faithful dog, Titus; cousin, Howard Riggan and friend, Brenda Poole. . Visitation Tuesday 4-8 pm. Services 11:30 am Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Peter Van eyes officiating.
