On the evening of February 19, 2025, at approximately 8:30pm, Mary Elaine Moody passed away at the age of 71. She leaves a son, William Ross Cox, daughter-in-law, Ashley Cox, a sister and nephew. She is mourned by close friends of Adin Castillo-Dowd, Amillia Chastain-Dowd, Amythist Chastain, Ember Chastain, and Barbara Dowd. Mary was a good person who was good to my family and helped raise kids. She played with kids and was good with the animals.
She will be dearly missed by those who knew her. Jay (deceased) and Mary grew up in the same neighborhood and were good friends, they now can continue their card games and decide who was better.
Mary kept me tuned into what was good about daily life and how to watch game shows to keep my knowledge working. I’m glad she is no longer suffering and is at peace.

A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210, followed by a graveside service.
