Mary Frances Shelby age 88, of Madison, TN, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016. Mrs. Shelby was born in Nashville, TN, on August 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Thomas Lafayette, Sr. and Celia Parks. Mrs. Shelby retired from Builder’s Specialties. She was a member of Bellshire United Methodist Church and past president of the National Association of Women in Construction. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, Winford M. Shelby and a daughter-in-law, Julia Faye Shelby. Survivors include a son, John T. Shelby; two grandchildren, Lori Moore and John M. (Carrie) Shelby; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Colin Moore and Courtney and Sarah Shelby. Graveside and interment services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at one o’clock, Woodlawn Memorial Park.
