Mary Lou Ventress

Mary Lou was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all. She had a passion for cooking and loved hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, where her family would gather to celebrate together. Mary Lou worked at Pepsi-Cola for 40 years, where she was known for her dedication and hard work.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald Johnson (Michelle) and Jimmy Johnson, her daughter, Angela McGee (Dennis), her grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth LaValley, John Thomas Johnson, Angela Lowrie, Rachel Johnson, Wayne Peach, Chelsea McCormick, and Cylena McGee, as well as twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Bertha Cates, and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her daughter, Gale Darlene Johnson, and her grandson, Christopher Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. A service will be held the following day, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Mary Lou will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and devotion to family will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
