Melanie Hutchison

Melanie Hutchison, 58, of Burns, TN passed away April 1, 2022. Melanie had a passion for her family. As a devoted wife and mother, attentive daughter and sister, an involved aunt, and committed friend, Melanie loved fiercely and cared deeply. She cared for her family and friends without fail, and our loss is immeasurable.

Metro Nashville Fire Department Captain Melanie Hutchison was a dedicated public servant who worked for over 30 years to care for and safeguard the communities of Nashville. As an EMT, she arrived at some of the community’s worst moments at her professional best to care for those in crisis. As a fire inspector, she poured her heart into ensuring some of our largest developments are a safe place for us to live and work.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Hutchison Jr; parents, Bob & Donna Coss; children, Frank (Libby) Hutchison III, Patrick (Tiffany) Hutchison, Brandon (James) Hutchison; grandchildren, Frank Hutchison IV and Kerrie (Daniel) Hatmaker; great-grandchildren, Charlee & Ridgeland Hatmaker; brothers, Robbie (Niki) Coss and Bryan Coss; sister, Terri (Joe) Shelton and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Hayley Hutchison and sister Beth Goforth

A visitation for Melanie will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A visitation will occur Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
