

Milton was born on January 22, 1936 in Nashville, TN to William and Allie Mae Scott. Milton met the love of his life Delores McCall and married on October 26, 1954 at Park Avenue Baptist Church in Nashville, TN.
He was active in the United States Army and Marine reserves from 1954-1968. Milton was a proud veteran and always wore his army hat, whenever anyone thanked him for his service, he would respond “it was an honor to serve.”
Milton loved the Lord and has been a faithful servant at Glenwood Baptist Church since 1956. He loved his family and Vanderbilt Athletics to the end. Even two days ago while in ICU, he refused orange jello telling the nurse “I don’t do orange.”
Milton is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Delores; three children, Randy Scott, Debbie (Ronnie) Cornwell, and Mike (Becky) Scott; five grandchildren, Chris (Nancy) Cornwell, Bryan (Savannah) Cornwell, Samantha (Travis) Carpenter, Tyler (Kelsey) Scott, Stephen (McKenzye) Scott; four great-grandchildren, Lilliana Cornwell, Mya Cornwell, Nathanael Cornwell, Emmalyn Cornwell, and two more on the way; Brothers, Bill (Rae) Scott and Gerald (Sally) Scott; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Allie Mae Scott.
A gathering of family and friends for Milton will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A gathering of family and friends will also occur Friday, March 31, 2023 beginning at 12:00 PM.A celebration of life will occur Friday, March 31, 2023 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service with military honors will occur Friday, March 31, 2023 at 1:45 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The pallbearers for the services for Milton Scott are Chris Cornwell, Bryan Cornwell, Tyler Scott, Travis Carpenter, Stephen Scott, and David Hale.
