

Morris Norman Jennette, age 93, departed this life on April 3, 2022. He was born on March 29, 1929 in Brentwood, Tennessee to the late, Porter Jennette and Cora Pauline Lynn Jennette. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Arthur Morris Jennette and his siblings, James Jeanette, Arthur Porter Jenette, Doris J. Tucker, Stella J. Waters and Alton Edward Jeaette.
Morris married the love of his life, Lois Griggs on August 13, 1949 and was baptized on August 14, 1949 at Woodson Chapel Church of Christ. Morris was a builder in the Brentwood Area, having completed his first home, the Joli Gift Shop on Franklin Road and other homes in the area.
Morris served four years in the United States Air Force, training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He then spent two and half years, at Shepherd Field in Wichita Falls, Texas, as an Aircraft an Engine Instructor. Morris was transferred to Japan for a year and half, as a Tow Target Instructor. He came back home and served in the Tennessee Air National Guard for over thirty years, retiring as a Master Sergeant.
Morris was asked to be head of the Maintenance Department by the builders of Nashville Christian Towers for Seniors. He was awarded a Service of Excellence award for his work in the Continued Maintenance Manual he wrote for the Towers, before his retirement at age 67.
Morris's hobbies were building motor home coaches, restoring old cars, he and Art maintaining their cars togethers, camping, boating, water skiing, playing the guitar and singing with family and friends.
Morris was a wonderful father to his son, Art and a devoted husband to his wife Lois.
Morris is survived by his wife of 73 Years, Lois G. Jennette of Brentwood, Tennessee and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, April 8, 2022 in Dignity Hall at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Carver Officiating.
