With her loving family at her bedside, Patricia "Trish" Finley Beverstein entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2026, following multiple strokes. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in the assurance that she is now in the loving arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
Trish was born on May 29, 1947, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Paul and Hope (Collins) Finley.
A lifelong Nashvillian, Trish grew up near the David Lipscomb campus, attended Lipscomb through her freshman year of college, and later graduated from Tennessee Tech with a bachelor's degree in education. She began her career teaching in the Nashville school system. On November 29, 1969, she married William "Bill" Hamilton, and together they welcomed two beloved children.
A devoted Christian, Trish's faith shaped every part of her life, including her ordination into ministry. She expressed her love for the Lord through her love of people and of His creation—surrounding her home with flower gardens, trees, and caring for many beloved pets. Her passion for nutrition and holistic health led many to seek her counsel, earning her the affectionate nickname "Vitatrish." After Bill's passing, she later found love again and married Rod Beverstein in 2005. Rod became the family's beloved grand and great-grandfather and faithfully cared for her through her final months, alongside her devoted family and compassionate caregivers.
Trish was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Hope Finley; her first husband, William "Bill" Hamilton; and her brother, Michael Finley.
She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Rod Beverstein; daughter, Karee Hays (John); son, Gray Hamilton (Anna); stepchildren, Lisa Palmer and Joe Beverstein; brother, Jeff Finley (Bettye); grandchildren, Wilson Hays (Abby), Leah Parker (Reid), Jackson Hays, Will Hamilton, and Finley Hamilton; and great-grandchildren, Huck Hays, Rhett Hays, and Hayes Parker.
