Paulo Wayne Praznik, son of Sharlet Heitkotter (deceased) and Abe Praznik, passed away at the age of 38 on January 10, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. Paulo was born in Denver, Colorado on March 23, 1978. He was preceeded in death by his mother, grandparents, and an uncle. He attended school in Denver, Exeter, CA, and St. George, Utah, graduating from Dixie High School in 1996. At a young age, his athletic ability was unleashed, and he loved playing baseball most of all. He and his siblings loved making up games on the Red Hill and in the empty fields near their Denver grandparents' homes. He and his then wife, Amber, welcomed a son, Dominic Michael, in January of 2007. Being a big kid himself, he enjoyed being around children, and taking care of animals. His last job was as a canine specialist in Columbia, TN. More than anything, Paulo loved his big, Italian family. He was proud of his heritage and he let everyone know it! He had a huge heart, and he loved his son very much. Paulo is survived by his most precious son, Dominic, stepfather Michael, and brother Tony, all of St. George, his girlfriend Makayla Vandiver and her daughter Reagan (Columbia, TN), father Abe Praznik (Mt. Pleasant, TN), sister Kesha (Jon) Wall and nephew Alex of Nashville, and niece Chloe Wall of Des Moines, Iowa. In addition, he is leaving behind his cousins Lisa Johnson, Gina Ponzio, Rhiannon Wolgram (all of Denver), and Dhiannon Triplett (Castle Rock), and their families. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness in the memory of Paulo. Eternal rest grant unto him, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. A memorial Mass will be held 4:30 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Henry Catholic Church with visitation from 4-4:30 p.m. prior.
