Peter Pressman

Peter Steven Pressman, age 72, of Franklin, TN passed away on Sunday March 25th, 2018. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Pressman and brother Kenneth Pressman. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Ruth Glass Pressman, his mother Evelyn Pressman Beder, his brother Dr. Mitchell Pressman, his mother-in-law Selma Glass, his children Adam (Isa) Pressman and Dr. David (Dr. Hannah) Pressman, and grandchildren Jarin, Ayla, Idan, Yaniv and Leora Pressman.

Peter was born in 1945 in Chelsea, MA. He received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and his MBA from Illinois State University. Peter proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for General Electric Co. for 35 years.

As President of the Nashville Striders, Peter inspired many others to join him in using running to make a positive impact on themselves and their communities. Peter’s smile and zest for life were infectious. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

The funeral will be held at West End Synagogue on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 1:30pm followed by burial at KKAI Cemetery (2136 18th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37208). Shiva minyans will be held Wednesday and Thursday evenings (March 28 and 29) at 6:00pm at West End Synagogue.
