Nashville – June 30,1922- July 20, 2020 Age 98 Born in La Veta, Colorado. Preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Herrera, parents Basilo Herrera and Maria Natividid Herrera, brothers Gilbert Herrera, Brother Antonio Herrera, OFM, John Herrera, Sisters, Cordelia Herrera, Sylvia Brown, Mary Mercy Warrer. Survived by sister Viola Pacheco, Pueblo, Co., son Anthony "Tony" Herrera (Jeanne); Nashville TN, daughter, Jana Herrera, Nashville, TN, granddaughter Melissa Herrera (David), Houston, TX, and many nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Army as a Medic during World War II. He retired from Ryder Truck Lines after 37 years.
He was an avid Gardner and enjoyed traveling the country with Evelyn in their Motorhome. The family wishes to thank his devoted caregivers, Gloria Boyd, Diane Vasquez, and Dawn Rogers. A private burial will be held at a later date.
