Rebecca H Swift

Becky was born, a Christmas baby, on December 25, 1936 in Nashville, TN. Her parents were John Price Hartman, Jr. and Lucille Scott Hartman. She grew up around the Nashville area, worked for Ford Motor Co. and had one son, Johnny Carver. She was an active member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church, Nashville, TN and developed a lifelong passion for family.

Becky is survived by her Grandson Justin Alan Conder (Traci Ann) and two great grandsons, Anderson and Braeden Conder of San Antonio, TX. Also, a niece, Sheri (Richard) Futrell of Kimberling City, MO, nephew Anthony Valente of NJ. Stepson Joseph Randall (Gloria) Swift of Fouke, AR, stepdaughters Kimberly Hinkle of Spring Hill, TN, Sheila (Lynn) Fair, Tupelo, MS and her adoptive daughter Lisa Brown.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, John Price Hartman, Jr. and Lucille Scott, son, Johnny, husband, Joe Swift, older sisters, Betty Jean and Enola Marie, niece, Vicky Lynn Nichols, and nephews, Jeff Harter, Steve Hartman.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Dickerson Road Baptist Church on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories of Becky.

Honorary pallbearers are John Jordan, Michael Jordan, Tom Scott, George Raymond Stevens, Leslie Pruit, Rich Futrell and the deacons of Dickerson Road Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made to Dickerson Road Baptist Church in Becky’s memory. Becky will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
