

Mr. Regen was born in Nashville, TN, on August 11, 1926, the son of the late Walter Duncan Regen and Mattie Mullins Regen. He graduated from West High School (Nashville in 1944). He attended the University of TN where he played football and participated in the Rose Bowl Game on January 1, 1945. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. Mr. Regen continued his education at Tennessee Tech University 1946-1949 continuing his college football career. He retired from GMAC after thirty-five years of service. Mr. Regen was a lifetime member of Waverly Place Methodist Church and Forest Hills United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Regen was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Charlotte Maxine (Tiger) McClure and brothers and sisters, Mattie Pearl (Sis) Regen, W.D. (Deedee) Regen, Jr., Mary Jane Ritter, and Thomas Samuel Regen.
Survivors include three sons, Richard (Rick) S. Regen, Jr., (Suzanne), Kendall W. Regen (Ginger), and Kerry S. Regen (Beth); four grandchildren, Rebecca B. Regen, Sloan M. Regen, Hannah R. Beasley (Dean), and Kelsey R. Dotson (Rusty); and two great-grandchildren, Brooks and Aiden Beasley.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, at two o’clock, Forest Hills United Methodist Church with Rev. Kristen Clark-Banks officiating.
