STEPHAN, Richard P. “Sam” age 87 of Nashville went to heaven on March 25, 2013. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Gloria O’Malley-Stephan “Pepper”; daughter, Paula (Tony) Roseberry; son, John (Mary) Stephan; stepsons, Michael (Joyce) and Chris O’Malley; brothers, Robert Stephan, William Stephan; sister, Nancy Stangelo; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Stephan was an avid fisherman, WW II Navy Veteran serving on the USS Saratoga and a Purple Heart Recipient. Funeral service to be conducted two-thirty p.m. Friday March 29, 2013 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, placement to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from eleven a.m. until time of the service. Customary floral tributes accepted or donations may be made to the Nashville Humane Society.
