Rita Joy Grigsby

Rita is preceded in death by her father, James Harold Gray, Mother, Edith Carlene Gray, Companion, Tony Barnett, Brother, Tony Gray, Son, Jeff Barnes, Daughter, Katelyn Grigsby, and Great-Granddaughter, Hensleigh Rose Gilleylen.

She is survived by her daughter: Emily Zapton, Sisters: Pat (Mike) and Ginger Gray, Brother: Barry (Debrorah) Gray, Daughter-in- Law: Trisha Barnes, Grandchildren: Kayla Hester, Porsha (Jackson) Hester, Ashleigh (James) Gilleylen, Destiny Barnes, Samantha (Maggie) Zapton, Faith (Noah) Barnes, Nickolas Zapton, and Alivia Grigsby. Great Grandchildren: TJ, Adalynn, and Christian.

The family would like to thank the staff at Saint Thomas Mid-Town for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service at Mount Olivet Funeral Home 1101 Lebanon Road Nashville, TN 37210 on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 1 pm. Visitation with the family will begin at noon.

Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
