

Sadie Marie Standifer, 32, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on October 12, 2024. Born in Nashville, she was the beloved daughter of Lisa Marie Ferrell and James Leo Standifer Jr. A proud graduate of Sycamore High School, Sadie furthered her education in art and cosmetology.
Sadie was a vivacious spirit, known for her ability to light up any room with her infectious smile. Her love for life was matched only by her compassion for others. Sadie possessed a remarkable intelligence and boundless creativity, evident in her artistic talents.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Sadie was an avid and fierce athlete who played softball for many years.
Sadie is survived by her beloved son, James Michael Defries Jr.; her father, James Leo Standifer Jr.; her mother, Lisa Marie Ferrell; her brother, James Clay Standifer; grandmothers Brenda S. Standifer and Virgie Soapes; grandfather Clabren Ferrell; aunts Jenny and Cathey; uncle Andy; special cousin Madelyn who was like a sister, along with many other cousins; as well as many other loving aunts, and uncles by marriage.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Leo Standifer Sr. (Susan), and step-grandfather, John W. Ellis.
Sadie’s legacy of love, humor, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
A gathering of family & friends for Sadie will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM.
