Shirley Jean Bunch

Shirley was the beloved daughter of the late Obie Young and Elizabeth Christabel Whited Young. She graduated with a high school diploma and went on to work for the Internal Revenue Service for 35 years. After retirement, she continued her industrious nature as a landlady.

On October 18, 1959, Shirley married the love of her life, James Harold Bunch Sr. Together they shared over 60 years of love, laughter, and family. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, James Harold (Kendra K) Bunch Jr. and Michael Todd Bunch, and was known fondly as "Mamaw" by her cherished grandchildren, James Michael Bunch, Chelsey Jo Bunch, James Harold Bunch III, Sam Mason Bunch, and Verna Louise Bunch. Survived by her brother, Chester (Janie) Norman Young.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Harold Bunch Sr., parents, Obie and Elizabeth Young, and her brother, Don Delmar Young.

Whether she was tending her flowers, cooking meals from the heart, or offering a listening ear, she showed love in the simplest and most enduring ways. A faithful member of the Lebanon Road Church of Christ, Shirley's life reflected her deep and abiding faith. Everyone knew her to be kind and loyal to her husband, family, and friends. Shirley will be greatly missed.

The family would like to invite friends to a Visitation September 5, 2025, from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm and Saturday September 6, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm until the Funeral Service 2:30 pm all held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
