Shirley A. L. Smith, age 77, went home to be with her Lord on November 17, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald “Buddy” Smith; children, Rebecca “Becky” Bradley (Randy), Janeil Harris (Randall), and Donnie Smith (Michelle); four grandchildren, one great grandson and her dearest friends, Scott and Betsy Harris. Shirley loved the Lord, her family, her church and working as a School Crossing Guard for 43 years with the Metro Police Department. A visitation will be held from three until eight o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 20th of November, at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at eleven o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 21st at Inglewood Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin Shrum officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Scott Bradley, Logan Blancett, Chris Riley, Wayne Camp, Scott Harris and Randy Bradley. Honorary pallbeares will be the Margaret Dunaway Sunday School Class. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering through Inglewood Baptist Church.
