Susan Jane Lopez 60 of Nashville passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020. Susan was born on February 7, 1960 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of George Bernard Hoffman and Gertrude Jane Salsbury Hoffman. Her parents and sister, Mona precede her in death.
Surviving is her loving husband of 40 years, Jesus “Big Chuy” Lopez; son, Chuy Eric “Lil Chuy” (fiancé, Brittany) Lopez; grand-daughter, Secret and her mother, Terika; dog, Rocco; brother, Roger; sister, Georgina; step-brother, Shawn; and many nieces and nephews.
A proud member of Local 46 Susan absolutely loved her Union family, and just this year she was voted to be the first female Sergeant at Arms. When she was not working or caring for her Union family, Susan was caring for her own family. She loved spending time with and cooking for her family anytime she could. The holidays were always one of Susan’s favorite times of the year, especially Christmas time. Her and her husband, Big Chuy enjoyed painting together, and Susan loved to color and craft.
Susan loved all the small things in life. She had a way of making small things and experiences feel like big adventures. She was loving and kind, and she would do anything for anyone. She was a social butterfly and was loved by so many, and she will be greatly missed.
