Sylvia Lucille Boyd

BOYD, Sylvia Lucille (Moore) , Age 84. Passed away in Nashville, TN on June 8, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, David Boyd. She is the dear mother of Clayton and Joe and the very proud grandmother of Kim (Michael) Rollins and Jennifer (Aubrey) McGowan and the proud great grandmother of Hannah and Abby Rollins and Grady & Jeff McGowan.

Born in Robertson County in 1927, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Robert Hulon Moore and Blanche Parker Moore. She is predeceased by one brother Carl Richard. She is survived by one sister, Mary Lucy (Charles) Begarly, of Mt. Juliet, TN; and two brothers, John Hulon (Ann) of Pleasant View, TN and Farris Parker (Hellen) Moore of Dover, TN and many respected nieces and nephews.

Sylvia and David treasured their time with family and friends and many years of active fellowship and teaching in the Haywood Hills Baptist Church. Sylvia was retired from the Baptist Sunday School Board.

Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Fri. June 10, 2011 from 2:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held Sat. June 11, 2011 at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall at 1:00pm with visitation held one hour prior. Rev. Barry Ellis will be officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
