

He was born January 26, 1952 in Nashville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas N.King Jr of Nashville and Sarah Beesley King of Murfreesboro. The Beesley’s were one of the original families to settle in Murfreesboro where the Beesley Primitive Baptist Church remains today on the National Register of Historic Places. He was a graduate of Hillwood High School and went on to attend the University of Tennessee.
He got his understanding of construction at a young age working for his father’s company and then went on to work in high rise construction, contributing to projects that now make up the iconic Nashville skyline. He would also go on to own and operate a photography studio situated in the heart of Hillsboro Village in Nashville where he was very active and supportive of all the small businesses in that area during the 1970s and early 1980s.
He had a passion for cooking and barbecuing on the grill that could rival the most renowned steakhouses.
He is survived by his daughter, Allison King McCord (Britt) and his two grandsons, Weston and Levi McCord, along with his brother George C. King.
A graveside service for Thomas will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
