Viola S. Barton passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 9, 2016, and is now reunited with her husband, Ed; son, Ralph; son-in-law, Paul Cleckner and sister, Dorothy.
Viola was born in East Liverpool., Ohio on April 28, 1919. She was Ed’s companion throughout their ministry years in several Nazarene churches. Viola loved decorating and enjoying helping others decorate their homes throughout her 30 years in the custom drapery department at Sears.
Viola better known as “Grandma”, loved to remind her family that “getting old isn't for sissies” and she would always say, "You just wait until you get this age. You’ll see!”
Those who will miss her spunky personality are her daughter, Beverly Cleckner; grandchildren, Susan Lane (Mike), Dianne Dougharty (Mark), Paul Cleckenr (Jenny), and Janet Mattingly; her brother, Ralph S. Goodwin (Betty) of Dayton, Ohio along with her 9 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren
