Craig, Mrs. Virginia Tipton, Age 84 of Nashville, died Sunday, December 25, 2016 after a short illness. Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by her parents, Blanche and John H. Tipton of Nashville. She was a graduate of Ward Belmont Girls Preparatory School, attended Randolph Macon Women’s College in Ashland, VA, and attended Vanderbilt University where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a member of the Junior League of Nashville, the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Tennessee, the Centennial Club and Belle Meade Country Club. Mrs. Craig was a member of West End United Methodist Church. Mrs. Craig is survived by her brother, John H. Tipton, Jr. (Frances) and three nieces: Frances Tipton Smith (Larry) of Jackson, TN, Ann Tipton Horn (Steve) of Nashville and Virginia Tipton Walker (Will) of Scottsdale, AZ, and several great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Dr. Andrew Benedict, Jr. officiating. Memorials may be made to the Music Fund at West End United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
