

Waldron Lawrence “Larry” McKeithan, age 69 of Nashville Tennessee, passed away on October 7, 2021 after a long battle with MDS. He was born in Sharon, PA on December 25, 1951. He was the son of the late Wesley Lawrence and Avis Hazleton McKeithan. His mom always said he was the best Christmas present she ever got.
Larry was very proud of his academic journey. He loved Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, PA. where he is a talented wrestler. He placed second in the state wrestling tournament in 1970.
He received his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University in 1974. At Princeton he was the Treasurer of the Dial Lodge Eating Club. He received his Masters of Business administration from Stanford University in 1976.
Larry was married to his loving wife, Florence Hendrickson McKeithan on July 20, 1985 in Nashville, TN at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Larry worked for McKinsey & Sons before coming to Nashville and joining Kusan, Inc. as their Vice President of Business Planning. He then became Kusan’s Chief Financial Officer.
His passions were his love for his family, Pittsburgh Steelers, high school and college wrestling, the beach and fishing.
He was survived by his loving wife, Florence.
Children: Wesley (Lara) and Mary Florence McKeithan.
Sisters: Pat (Ben) Sutliff, Dee Ripley and Sara Harms.
Nieces and Nephews: Chris Sutliff (Jim) Varner, Suzanne Sutliff (Quimby) McCaskill and David Sutliff (Katherine); Adam (Merritt) Ripley and Ellen Ripley Pometto; and nine great nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley McKeithan, Ben Sutliff, Jim Varner, Quimby McCaskill, David Sutliff, Adam Ripley, Joel Walker and John Tung.
The family would like to thank the many kind and caring doctors and nurses at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt Health Belle Meade who cared for Larry over the years of treatment. We would also like to thank our family and friends who share their love and support through this journey.
Visitation will be on October 14, 2021 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in the Parlor from 11:00-12:45. At 1:00, there will be a Celebration of Life in the Chapel at Westminster. Westminster Presbyterian is located at 3900 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN. Following the service, a processional will lead us to Spring Hill Cemetery for the Interment at 2:45 located at 5111 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN.
