

He was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, in 1945 to James Wayne Rogers and Mary Frances Archer Rogers. Warren attended Nashville city schools and graduated from West End High School in 1963. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served for more than 20 years. He retired in 1984 with the rank of Master Sergeant.
During his distinguished military career, Warren earned numerous honors and awards, including the Air Force Commendation Medal (with one device), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, NCO PME Graduate Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon (with four devices), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (with two devices), Air Force Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (with one device), Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Device, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal (with six devices), and the Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister, Dr. Marilyn Rogers. He is survived by his children, Robin Lynne Rogers, and Stephen Michael Rogers; his two grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Rogers and Stephen Michael Rogers II; his sisters, Dr. Molly R. Seal (Jim) and Joyce R. Boner (Rex); and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held on January 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd section of Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204.
