

Warren Barnes Sloan II was born November 19, 1932 in Nashville, Tennessee. He passed away on January 6, 2018 at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Emma D. and Warren B. Sloan I; his wife, Vera B. Sloan; his brother John Nolan III; his twin sons, Warren B. Sloan III and Berney S. Sloan. He is survived by his children: Mark Sloan (Mary); Sylvia R. Hopkins (Eric); Pam D. Klins (Mike); Seth Sloan; Berney J. Sloan (Connie); eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Warren graduated from MBA and Aquinas College in Nashville. He attained his BS degree from MTSU. He retired from military service after serving in the Marines and the Korean Conflict and then the Army Reserve. Warren also served as an officer in the Metro Nashville Police Department. Additionally, he served as a substitute teacher at Dickson High School where he enjoyed working with young people. He retired to his farm in Nunnelly, Tennessee, where he enjoyed woodworking and working a small garden. He enjoyed being out with his land and nature. He loved being with his children and grandchildren.
