Willa Robbins Taylor

Willa graduated from Erin High School and received a Bachelor of Science from Austin Peay University. She moved to Nashville in 1955 and worked as a Medical Technologist at the VA Hospital for 34 years. She married Thomas Ray Taylor of Nashville on November 12th 1960 at McKendree United Methodist Church in Nashville. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She grew up on a farm which instilled her a great love for nature and her lifelong love of cats.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Thomas Ray Taylor of Nashville; her parents, Thales Thomas Robbins and Maggie Ruth Bateman of Erin, TN and a brother, Garner Robbins.

She is survived by her children, Janice Taylor Raines and David Taylor both of Nashville; her bothers, Herman Robbins of Lewisburg, KY and Carlton Robbins of Clarksville, TN and a sister, Geneva Robbins of Henderson, NC.

A gathering of family & friends for Willa will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A gathering of family & friends will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2:30 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
