Preceded in death by his parents Ed and Alberta Strasser and his brother John, Bill is survived by his wife Donna Colley Strasser, his son Billy and wife Shari, and by his daughter Sister Mary Claire, SOLT. He is also survived by his brothers Ed and Tom (Nancy), sister Loretto (Mike) Walsh, and many nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Father Ryan HS and Middle Tennessee State University. A lifelong farmer, Bill was President of Davidson County Farm Bureau. He served on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Agricultural Museum and the Agriculture Club. He also served as Chairman of the Agricultural Extension Board. He was an American Legion member and a past commissioner of the Tennessee State Fair Board.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Joseph Church on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Father Phillip Breen presiding. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 and from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
