He is survived by his children, Beth (Mike) Weatherford and Jason (Jennifer) Fryer; grandchildren, Caine (Faith) Weatherford, Laurel (Zack) McCreary, Addy McCreary and Eric (Rachel) Weatherford; sister, Jewel (Steve) Malone.
A stranger…never to Billy. He was one of the friendliest people you would meet. He always had a smile and was a friend to anyone who would allow him to be. Although he enjoyed SEC sports but most of all Vanderbilt basketball. You would think his blood ran black and gold. He hardly ever missed one of his grandkids games and also coached softball, baseball and football. He was very generous, selfless and one of the greatest storytellers.
He worked for Golden Flake, American Ace Coffee, Grand Ole Opry Tours but truly loved his special education bus route with Metro Schools where he cared deeply for all the children on his route and was known as Mr. Bill.
