Mr. William Washington Moore, III age 87, of Franklin, TN, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-eight years, Peggy T. Moore; parents, William Washington Moore, II and Elnora Marshall Moore; and a sister, Eugenia Cobb. Survived by a daughter, Sloan (Dan) Perry of LasCassas, TN; a son, William W. (Dyanne) Moore of Decatur, AL; eight grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Katherine Rando, Elnora Price, and Mary Louise Payne. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the United States Navy in World War II and later served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Anglican Episcopal Church of the Resurrection and a longtime volunteer at St. Lukes Thrift Shop and at Historic Carnton Plantation. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at noon, Anglican Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. Inurnment will be held with his wife at Blount Springs, AL. Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Tuesday at the church from eleven o’clock until the service hour.
