Daniel Joseph Ramos was born to Manuel and Ida Ramos and grew up in National City and lived there his whole life. After graduating from Sweetwater High School he worked various jobs before he was hired by Pepsi Cola where he retired after 35 years.
Our parents instilled in Dan a sense of adventure and he lived life to the fullest. He had a generous heart and showed kindness to everyone he met.
In his youth he was an avid surfer and he loved going to TJ with his friends. When he got older, one of his greatest joys was going out on the Excel fishing boat for 2 weeks to Alijos Rocks to fish for tuna, Wahoo, Maui Mahi and various other fish.
He also enjoyed taking his dune buggy to Glamis and loved camping in the desert. One of his favorite past times was going to Koby Swapmeet, throughout the years, where he made many friends. He loved music and was a life long fan of Bob Dylan.
Dan’s warmth, humor, and generous nature made a lasting impact on those around him. He will be remembered for the stories he shared, the adventures he embraced and the love he gave so freely.
Dan is survived by his brother John and sister Liz. Daughter Michelle (spouse Randy Speake), son Joseph, and three grandchildren Jonathan, Sophia, and CJ; and many family members who will cherish his memory. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in honor of Dan on March 30, 2026, at 10:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel National City, 607 National City Boulevard, National City 91950.
