Emily Ann Brandon

Emily attended public school in Conecuh, Ala. She Graduated June 1958

Emily accepted Christ in 1949 and was baptize by Pastor

Rev, Chapman, New Hope AME Zion. She was active in Sunday School, youth choir, and Youth groups

.

Emily married Olester Brandon on April 9, 1959. Being in the military, they traveled to many places. In 1978 they relocated to San Diego, California where she united with Linda Vista 2nd Baptist Church. Emily served the Lord faithfully.

As President of the Mission Ministry, President of the Women Department, the Deaconess, the Women Choir, the Sanctuary Choir and Pastor Aid Ministry , she loved to sing, She even

and sang with the (GMWA ) Gospel Music Workshop of America choir.

Emily was employed by Navy Exchange Service, retiring

after 20 years.

Emily lived a good and Blessed life, After a long illness she went home to be with Lord, on Thursday December 19, 2024.

She leave behind to cherish her memory her husband Olester Brandon, Two sons, Jerrold J Brandon (Kathy) of Placentia, CA. Darryl Brandon (Nadine) of Newark, California. Two grandchildren. Lauren and Miles Brandon one sister, Jessie K. Jones of Hampton, VA, one Brother Conald Andrews of Tunnel Springs, Alabama, as well as A host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Emily will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Second Baptist of Linda Vista Church, 2706 Korink Ave, San Diego, CA 92111. Following the funeral service will be a commital service at 2:15 PM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Noble Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.
