Jon Duane Haslerud

Jon was born on December 22,1956, in Bethesda, Maryland to Paul and Beverly Haslerud. He was raised in multiple places including Morocco, Philadelphia, PA and Peterson, MN, before settling in San Diego, CA in the late 70’s. Jon married Gracie Renteria on September 23, 2016.

Jon always loved music, learning how to play guitar in his youth, jamming with his friends, listening to rock, and teaching his son Erik to play guitar as well. Jon also loved watching sports and dedicated many years volunteering with Sweetwater Valley Little League.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie; five children: Tiffany Haslerud (Roy) of Orlando, FL; Amber Haslerud (John) of Escondido, CA; Erik Haslerud (Melissa) of Las Vegas, NV; Bianca Wardrobe (Jonathan) of San Diego, CA; and Daniel Solorzano (Jay) of Spring Valley, CA; four grandchildren: Evelyn Solorzano, Oliver Wardrobe, Emerald Solorzano, and Ella Haslerud; brother Joel Haslerud of Ponca City, OK and sister Joni Peine of Cannon Falls, MN.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents and first daughter, Janell D. Haslerud.
