With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Manuel Rodriguez San Agustin, age 78, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at UCSD Hillcrest, San Diego, California.

Born on May 28, 1946, to Francisco San Agustin and Asuncion Rodriguez, Manuel lived a life full of love, faith, and dedication. He was united in marriage to Remigia Trinidad Soriano, and together they were blessed with three beloved children.

From 1977 to 1989, the family made their home in San Roque, Cavite City. In 1989, Manuel moved to the United States, where he was later reunited with his children in 1996. A devout Catholic, Manuel was a faithful parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church, where he found great strength and community.

Manuel’s legacy lives on through his children: Luigian (married to Jeanette), Dio Franco (married to Easter Grace), and his late son, Dio Banjo (married to Trang). He was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren — Gian Franco, Edielynne Marie Rose, Remman John, Deilyn Aerielle, John Bryan, Derell Mae, Tristan, and Denise Franchezca — and great-grandfather to Ace.

Manuel was deeply loved by his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whose lives he touched over the years. His warmth, faith, and unforgettable memories will forever remain in our hearts.
