

Moses “Moki” F. Rivera, Jr. a long time resident of National City, California has gone home to his Heavenly Father. Moki was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. The oldest son of Moses and Mary Rivera, he found his way to San Diego when he joined the Navy in 1971. He loved San Diego so much that he convinced his family to move from Hawaii. Shortly after arriving in San Diego, Moki sent for his girlfriend Rondi back in Hawaii. They married and raised their four children in San Diego, frequently flying back home to visit.
Moki worked as an appliance repairman, pool cleaner and carpenter for several years before starting his career with American Airlines as an aircraft cleaner. Moki loved his job with American Airlines and was proud to have served them for 30 years.
Moki was a fun loving guy always one to be a jokester. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed a nice meal with great company. He especially enjoyed a round of golf with his sons. He loved sharing stories of his childhood and growing up in Hawaii and lived his life with aloha. He was a generous, caring man with a good heart. Moki will be greatly missed by many.
Moki is survived by his wife of 47 years Rondi Kapulani Akiu, sons Moses Kawika, Mark Ewaliko and Edward Kaleo, and daughter Robin Kuuleimomi. Grandchildren Noah Kaleo, Damian Ikaika, Ryan Bradley, Quinn Kapulani, Liliana Kuliaikalani and Leanna Rose. Sister Gloria Carper, brother Patrick Rivera and many nieces and nephews. Moki is predeceased by his parents Moses Feliciano Rivera, Sr. and Mary Helen Santiago Rivera, Sisters Christine Garth and Shirley Easter.
