Ovidio, fondly known as Ovie, was born to Oliver and Adelina De Leon, on May 29, 1947, in Cavite city, Philippines. Ovie is survived by his ex-wife Khuynh, three children, Jay, Leonardo, and Veronica, and 8 grandchildren, ranging from ages 21 years old to 6 months old. He is also survived by his siblings, Gil, Arnel, and Olivia.
Ovie was a talented craftsman, engineer at heart, and an enterepreneur who loved building and constructing. Ovie started his career in Vietnam, then he moved back to the Philippines, and later moved to the United States of America in 1987. After moving to the USA, Ovie started his own construction business which was a dream come true. Ovie held many titles in his life, but his favorite role was being a father and a grandfather. He enjoyed his free time teaching his sons and the community about construction, spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, singing karaoke with his loved ones, and watching boxing.
While Ovie left us far too soon, the impact he had on our community will be felt for years to come, and he will be truly missed.
Ovidio's family will host a celebration of life on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 4:00 p.m, followed by a service at 6:00 p.m, and then dinner at 7:00 p.m.
Psalm 23
"A psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
