Alexander William Campbell

It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander (Al) Campbell with his family at his side at Concordia Hospital on February 17, 2013. He had been struggling with some health issues over the past year and in the past week his condition deteriorated quickly.

Left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing are his wife Muriel, Son Dale(Cora), Daughter Tracey(Vaughn), and his grandchildren Dylan, Daniel and Alexandra, brother Jim(Maureen), sister-in-law Florence(David) and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

He was predeceased by his Father Norman Campbell and Mother Helen Campbell, brother-in-law Harold, sister-in-law Wanita and nephew Shawn.

Al worked at Hartford Insurance for approximately 36 years until his retirement in 1999. After his retirement Al enjoyed many trips south, with his favorite being Palm Springs where he and Muriel spent many winters enjoying the sunshine and golf. He enjoyed many sports including curling, bowling and golf. He also took great pride in having the greenest grass on the block. He had a great wit about him and always had a joke to share with his friends and family.

At Al’s request cremation has taken place and the family has had a private internment.

In lieu of flowers donations in Al’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Care Manitoba.
